On Saturday, David Warner scored an epic knock of 335 against Pakistan in the ongoing Day-Night Test. Warner’s knock ensured that his team maintained a stranglehold over Pakistan in the 2-Test match series, which they are already leading 1-0.

After Australian captain Tim Paine declared the team’s innings with Warner still going strong, Candice wrote: “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. Warner is an aggressive batsman but the triple hundred is a testament to Warner’s new-found thrust of staying at the field as long as possible. This was evident from Warner’s own admission of his lack of patience in a tweet reply from 4 years ago.
In 2015, David was asked by one of the Twitter users, “please get a triple century in test cricket’, Warner had famously replied by saying: ‘Have you seen my patience haha.’

Warner’s efforts were followed by an inspirational spell of Mitchell Starc (6/66) which bundled out Pakistan for 302 in their first innings – 287 behind Australia’s total. After Tim Paine asked the opposition to follow on, Pakistan was in dire straits once again losing 3 wickets for just 39 runs when rain brought an abrupt end to the proceedings.
