Indian Premier League Schedule 2023 has started once again, according to information received from official sources. IPL will start on 20 March 2023 and according to IPL Schedule 2023. The final match will be played on 1 June 2023.

The last week of March 2023 will mark the start of the 16th season of the Indian Premier League, or IPL 2023, which will last through May 2023. This season will feature ten teams, 74 matches, and 14 league matches for each club.

In the Upcoming Season of the IPL there will be more action for sure but let’s just rewind and refresh the old memories of the past IPL seasons. 

In a tournament like IPL, some batsmen can completely change the game in very less time leaving no time for the opposition to recover from the assault. When any batsman hits a century in T20 innings. It makes it very easy for his team to get ahead in the game. In particular, if this ton comes at a very fast pace, then the probability of the team’s winning increases even more. We will be discussing the fastest centuries in Indian Premier League history so far.

  • Chris Gayle holds the record for smashing the fastest hundred in IPL.

In an IPL 2013 game against Pune Warriors, Gayle played a blistering knock of 175 runs off 66 balls. Gayle hit 17 sixes and 13 fours in his memorable innings. The left-hander ran to a three-figure mark in only 30 balls during his superb knock. RCB posted a huge total of 263/5 in 20 overs with the help of Gayle’s century. The Pune team could manage only 133/9 and lost the match by 130 runs.

  • Yusuf Pathan is at the top spot in this record among the Indian players.

He smacked a ton in only 37 balls against Mumbai Indians in 2010, which was the fastest century at that time. Rajasthan Royals were chasing a big target of 213 runs in this game and were in the game until Yusuf got out. Rajasthan scored 208/7 in their 20 overs and lost the match by 4 runs.

  • David Miller scored a century in only 38 balls in his famous 101-run knock

Playing against RCB in IPL 2013. RCB had set a target of 191 runs against Punjab and were in the winning zone in the second innings as Punjab scored only 64/4 in 9.5 overs. Miller played a blinder to help Punjab chase the challenging total in only 18 overs with 6 wickets to spare.

  • Adam Gilchrist struck a 42-ball century in the inaugural season of IPL.

Deccan Chargers were chasing 155 runs in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians and Gilchrist won the game for his team in just 12 overs. DC won this match very comfortably by 10 wickets.

  • AB de Villiers and David Warner are at the joint fifth spot in this regard with hundreds in only 43 balls.

The Proteas batsman hit 129 runs off 52 balls against Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016. David Warner slammed 126 runs off only 59 balls. Including 10 fours and 8 sixes which helped SRH win by 48 runs against KKR.

  • David Warner – 43 balls, David Warner recorded his fastest century in IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017.

Batting first, Warner set the stage alight. Reaching his fastest hundred in IPL off just 43 balls and eventually finishing on 126 off 59 balls. He hammered 10 fours and 8 sixes and was named Player of the Match for his effort.
