During the finale of IPL 2022, the pace battery Lockie Ferguson recorded the fastest ball of the IPL 2022 season when he bowled a Yorker length outside the off-stump delivery at 157.3 kmph to the orange cap winner Jos Buttler.

In the 74th and final match of IPL 2022, Ferguson not only took the honors of bowling the fastest delivery of the match and the season but also edged past SRH’s dynamic bowler Umran Malik, who had earlier clocked a 157 kmph delivery against the Delhi Capitals during a group stage match this IPL.

Ferguson was awarded the fastest delivery of the match award and also won Rs 10 lakh for recording the quickest delivery of the season.

The New Zealand bowler, who was bought by Gujarat Titans for a whopping amount of Rs. 10 crore in the mega auction, has a reputation for bowling quick bowls and consistently bowling at 150 kmph plus deliveries.
