England Beat Australia By 6 Wickets With 7 Balls To Spare:

England defeated Australia with 6 buckets and 7 balls to spare in the second T20I. The series was sealed with a victory.

Australia, batting first after winning the toss, posted 157/7 in their 20 overs. They were reduced to 3/2 in the second half, with David Warner (0) and Alex Carey (2) dropping early. Steve Smith (10) had run out of a direct Eoin Morgan hit in the 5th position, plunging Australia into more trouble. Aaron Finch (40) and Marcus Stoinis (35) set up a partnership to get the series back on track, but both of them dropped into rapid succession just as they were looking to accelerate. Glenn Maxwell (26) tried to give the innings a good end but was out in the 19th. Pat Cummins enabled Australia to finish when they passed the 150 marks. England is going to need 158 to win.

In response, England was driven by an 87-year partnership between Dawid Malan (42) and Jos Buttler (77 *), who had seen the chase through to the end. England was in trouble after three fast wickets threatened a relapse in the 1st T20I, but Buttler and Moeen Ali plundered 18 runs away from Adam Zampa’s 19th to see England at home.

Morgan Injury Blow For England:

Chris Jordan is going to bowl the 8th over. Stoinis flat beats six of them over deep midwicket to get a few more runs going. There’s 11 going in the back. But the next time, there’s a little bit of a dilemma for England. Morgan’s going down with an injury. He hurts himself when he tries for a catch. Physios is out to take a look at the English skipper, and there’s a long wait. ‘Dislocated finger’, is the verdict from the comm box. Would be a gutting blow for England. AUS 56/3 after 9.

Good news for England. Morgan is back on his side with a protective band. It’s safe to keep going for now. 4 runs from the 10th as Curran starts. Australia’s 60/3 to the halfway point of the innings. England has been on top so far, will the Aussies make a turnaround in the second half?

Finch Out For 40:

The 11th Adil Rashid tub. Finch moves out of his crease and lofts a six on the field towards him. The lbw called off the last hit, but they didn’t do anything at that time. Starc faces the last ball of the game. Let two of the last ball off. The last one comes out of 18 runs! That leaves Archer in discontent. Australia was 157/7 in their 20 overs. England needs 158 to win.

Chase Begins:

Bairstow and Buttler are going out to launch chase. Starc to the bowl for the first time. 158 to score. 158. Buttler’s trying to pick four off the side to get the chase trying. There are six runs from the over. ENG 6/0 after 1.

Bairstow Out hit wicket:

Cummins bowls are also an economical first. Four leg byes in the back. Then, there are just six runs out of it. Bairstow cuts loose as the third one begins. Back-to-back borders. And that’s the first wicket to follow. Bairstow is out of HIT WICKET. He’s going to crash for 9. ENG 19/1 after 2.5.

Batsmen Content To Move Score Along With Singles:

Malan gets a lucky boundary off the last Powerplay shot, even though Cummins is doing a little wrong. Maxwell is carried over to the 7th cup. Five runs by singles and doubles in the over. More spin on the 8th. The Zampa bowls are this one. Both batsmen are able to pass the score along in singles for the moment. Group 50 is coming up after 7.2 overs. ENG 53/1 after 8.

Malan Takes Charge:

Malan is taking care of the chase. The reverse sweep and the cut to start the 9th over with two fours. Zampa is receiving almost the same treatment for the next one. Juat 5 runs over Agar’s as some late pressure builds up in this chase. Buttler is still leading this pursuit, however. England needs 33 out of the last 4 rounds. Zampa bowls the 17th time, which is likely to be the last over spin in this match. Buttler is piercing the void with a four-stroke punch. Morgan smokes a shot down the field for another four in the back. But he is OUT off the next ball! Morgan is gone for 7. England 135/4 after 17, need 23 in 3 overs.
