England Captain Eoin Morgan Suspended for One ODI

In a five-match ODI series between England and Pakistan, Englishmen lead the series with 2-0 in three matches. During the 3rd ODI at Bristol, England captain Eoin Morgan has been suspended for one ODI match because of slow run rate.

After the first innings of the game, Pakistan has put a massive score of 358-9 on board and England has won the match smoothly with six wickets and 31 balls remaining.

After the game, England was two overs short after the time considerations and the match referee Richardson in accordance with article 2.22.1 of the ICC code of conduct for players to inflict the penalty. For this act, Captain Morgan has been fined 40% of his match fee and one ODI ban and other team members with 20% of their match fee.

Jonny Bairstow was awarded as the Man of the Match for his excellent knock of 128 runs in 93 balls which includes fifteen 4’s and five 6’s with a strike rate of 137 was also fined for striking stumps with bat after his dismissal, And fined the player under Article 2.2 of the ICC code, Which states “abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an international match”.

England will take on Pakistan in 4th ODI match at Trent Bridge on 17th May 2019. And final match on 19th May 2019 at Headingley.
