The star batter Dinesh Karthik continues to attract everyone with his brilliant yet electrifying batting style in the ongoing IPL 2022.

Karthik, who is in the team of RCB for this season, has scored 274 runs in 12 matches with a whopping average of 68.50 and a strike rate of 200.

His skills during the death overs helped the RCB many times this season to score good runs on the board, and apart from that, he also won 2 players of match awards, one against DC and one against RR in IPL 2022 so far.

He is in the second spot in best strike rate on IPL 2022 list, while he is fourth in the list of top six hitters in the season. He has smashed 21 fours and 21 sixes till now and is the most valuable player of the RCB squad this season. The Tamil-Nadu cricketer has remaine unbeaten in all of the 7 victories of RCB this season.

Considering his impeccable batting performance in IPL 2022, the selectors are currently eyeing him to be considered for the upcoming South Africa T-20 series against India.

While speaking with Insidesport, one of the selectors said, “The door is open to all who have been consistently performing. We have a few series before the T20 World Cup and if he continues to perform, he will be in consideration.”

He has played 31 T-20 matches so far for the Indian team and has scored 399 runs at an average of 36.27 and with a strike rate of 146.15.

The South Africa T-20 series will begin on June 09, 2022. It will be a five T-20 match series.
