Dinesh Karthik Comments

Talking about his finishing abilities Karthik said “Look, I think over a period of time I’ve been practicing for this. I’ve been doing it for RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) now, and I’m happy doing it here. So it’s a consistent routine over a period of time. The kind of period when I get off time, I do a lot of scenario practices,”

Huge Crowd

When asked about the fans in Nagpur. Karthik in the post-match interview stated that, “We were very very keen to play for one reason and one reason only. I think from the time we started from the hotel right up to the ground there were crowds throughout it actually you know we took more time than we actually should have to reach the ground.”

“So, the number of people standing on the ground we knew that it was a special occasion for us. You know after covid there haven’t been many situations where people in the city have come. Just you know been through the whole drive from this hotel to the ground and it’s a long drive. It’s a half an hour drive and just you know traffic jams and the kind of people that were there.”

He further went on to say that “We knew we wanted to make sure we played the game. Obviously at the start we know we got a feeling that it might be hard. But I think both teams were very courageous and also very kind to have played the game the conditions were good for us to feel not the best but I think we played both the teams, played this game for the city of Nagpur and I think they deserved this because they came in full numbers, one of the loudest crowds in a long long time.”

India will now face Australia in the series decider on 25 September at Hyderabad, Catch all the live action and drama on Disney Plus Hotstar and Star sports network at 7:30 PM.
