DC Confirms Rishabh Pant To Continue As Captain For UAE Leg

The Indian Premier League’s 2nd leg will begin on 19th September in the UAE. The Delhi Capitals have confirmed that Rishabh Pant would continue to captain the side for the remaining of the IPL.

In the unavailability of Shreyas Iyer, Pant was given the role of captaining the squad in the Indian leg of the IPL. Upon injuring his shoulder in the home series versus England, Iyer had to get shoulder surgery. He missed the IPL due to this ailment, which was cut short when Covid hit the camps of many teams.

However, the franchise has issued an official statement, putting a stop to all the guesswork.
