Vijay Sethupathi To Carve Out The Role Of Sri Lankan legend:
It has also been confirmed that for the film, 800, the renowned South Indian actor Vijay Sethupathi was selected. Sethupathi, who made his debut in 1996, will essay the Sri Lankan legend’s role in this film. The film shooting will begin after the actor completes his current projects.
Sethupathi will also undergo training before the start of the shoot to get in the right shape for the role. The actor is hoping to learn cricket and get the role of a cricketer in the groove. The exercise will also strive to help the actor understand Muralitharan’s characteristics and mannerisms.
It has also been confirmed that Russell Arnold will play the role of Yogi Babu in the movie. Arnold is Muttiah Muralitharan’s former team-mate. They both played in the Sri Lankan team together for years and share a close bond.
