Simply Mind-Blowing Innings from the Hitman Rohit Sharma

IND vs ZIM 3rd ODI:After winning the toss in the third and final ODI the New Zealand Skipper Tom Latham decided to bowl first and in came the in-form opening pair Skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Both the openers are in great form and they carried this form into the final ODI.

The Hitman smashed 6 sixes and 8 fours to reach the milestone of his 30th ODI century. The skipper was in a century drought where he was finding it difficult to score centuries and now he has completed his century drought by scoring 100 of 83 balls.

At one point it seemed like both the openers were in a race to reach the century. As both of them very going at an equal pace but evidently skipper Rohit Sharma completed his century drought and scored his 30th ODI century. Shubman Gill followed him just after two balls and scored his third consecutive and fourth ODI career Century.

Gill Continuing his Amazing Form

Shubman Gill, on the other hand, was anchoring the innings by ticking singles and scoring loose balls to boundaries. Shubman Gill also scored his 4th ODI century for India. And it is his third consecutive ODI century and Second against New Zealand.

While Gill was ticking single and playing safely at one end, skipper Rohit Sharma was in an aggressive mood as he did not spear any bowler who is bowling in his arc.

New Zealand Bowlers Struggle

Jacob Duffy and Daryl Mitchell were the two bowlers who gave away 83 runs in 8 overs. Overall New Zealand bowlers with a lack of experience are facing difficulty in managing the Indian batsman in this series. Tom Lantham tried everything that he could do and he was unsuccessful in breaking the opening pair of the Indian side.

Eventually, Rohit Sharma was dismissed after a lot of attempts by M Bracewell in the 27th Over after scoring 101 from 85 balls. Later as the overs progressed Shubman Gill was dismissed by Blair Tickner in the 28th over of the innings.

As Gill finished his innings with a score of 112 off 78 balls. New Zealand were finally happy as they finally broke the opening partnership and sent back both the openers back to Pavilion.
