India U-19 team beat England U-19 women by XX wickets to become the new U-19 World Champions
ICC U-19 T20 World Cup: Historic day for the Indians as India U-19 women become the new World Cup Champions. Historic game for the U-19’s as the young Indian side did not waste any time in getting crowned as the new World Champions. England Women had no answers for the Indian players, as the Indian players outclassed the English women in all aspects of the game.
Even though at the start Indian women struggled to find a way out they eventually did it as they did not have much to chase down. England was only able to score 68 runs as Indian bowlers as a unit destroyed the English batting line-up.
IN-WU19 vs ENG-WU19: Star of the Match
Indian side pretty much won the match in the first half as they completely shocked the English batsman and bowled them out for 68 inside 20 overs and the young Indian tigers comfortably chased down the target inside 14 overs and become the new U-19 World Cup Champions. Titas Sashu was the stand-out bowler today, as she just conceded only 6 runs in her four-over spell and picked up two crucial wickets.
Then with the bat, Soumya Tiwari & Gongadi Trisha did the job for India after scoring 24 runs each to become the new World Champions.
IN-WU19 vs ENG-WU19: Early on in the Innings
Indian bowlers showed no mercy to the English batters as the young Indian side came together as a unit and destroyed the English batting line-up. Titas Sadhu the Indian player bowled one of her career-best spells as she finished her spell with two wickets and conceded just 6 runs.
Along with her Archana Devi and Parshavi Chopra, both picked up two wickets each. While skipper Shafali Verma, Sonam Yadav and Mannat Kashyap all three of them picked a wicket each to clean out the English batting lineup for 68/10 in 17 overs.
IN-WU19 vs ENG-WU19: Indian crumbled at the start but held their nerves strong
With less than 70 runs the target young Indian side came on to bat with much lesser pressure but things did not go as planned. India lost two early wickets while chasing a below-par score.
Skipper Shafali Verma and Shweta Sehrawat were unable to give India a proper start as they were both dismissed inside four overs. But Indian batters Soumya Tiwari and Gongadi Trisha made sure that India crossed the line and they did it in the 15 over of the innings and thus became new U-19 Women World Cup Winners.

U-19 Indian Side led by Shafali Verma become the first U-19 World Cup winner in the history of ICC. This is a historic night for Indians and a proud day for all Indians. As our Young Women are now the World Champions.
Indian Men’s team early on won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 and now the U-19 Indian women win the inaugural U-19 T20 World Cup.
