What happened the last time they met?

Last time DC vs SRH was played at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi, with DC winning the toss and opting to bowl first. SRH had a hard hitting start to their innings with Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma as usual having a dominant opening. Travis Head ended up scoring 89 in just 32 balls while Abhishek Sharma hit  46 in just 12 balls, but was dismissed. 

SRH put on a total of 266/7 in 20 overs which was to be chased by Delhi Capitals. Delhi had an awful start to their chase, but Jake Fraser McGurk tried to lead the batting order and ended his 18 ball stint with 65 runs. Apart from his 50+ score, no teammate of his tried to get close to put on a high-score, which resulted in Delhi being bundled up for 199 in 19 overs. 

The current situation

Delhi and Hyderabad both won their first season opening matches, but Sunrisers failed to get a win in their last match against LSG, as they lost at their home stadium. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals won their first match in a tight chase of 210 runs at Visakhapatnam, where they won by just one wicket in hand. 

Delhi Capitals having played on this pitch earlier, have the idea about the pitch and may have analyzed the weak spots about it as well. As for SRH they will be playing on the Visakhapatnam pitch and their first away pitch for the first time this season. So things could get a little out of hand for Hyderabad. 

Who will Dominate

SRH showcased how they potentially hold the best batting lineup in IPL 2025 in the first match against RR. But Delhi Capitals have showcased their undying spirit of winning matches, in their first match against LSG. 

By factoring in all their strengths and weaknesses, If SRH put up a strong chase or if Delhi try to put in a decent target under 250 runs, and if SRH stay stable with their batting line-up, they surely will win the match. And if DC try to abolish SRH’s batting, they are looking at an easy win, if SRH’s bowling attack doesn’t get in their way.
