Recent Form
Bangladesh: Team Bangladesh had an eventful last three months, as they recorded their first ever series win against Pakistan (2-0) in test cricket in a two-match test series played in August-September 2024. The Shanto-led Bangla Tigers team also became the second only cricket side to clean sweep in Pakistan after England in 2022.
However, two weeks later when they landed in India with the same confidence, they failed to give some competition to team India and lost the series 2-0.
South Africa: The Proteas last played a test series in August 2024 against West Indies, which they won by 1-0. The squad selected for the series looks solid on paper, but the Regular skipper Temba Bavuma’s exclusion of first test due to an injury, can be a problematic thing for the visitors.
Aiden Markram will lead the side in Bavuma’s absence. Markram has a decent batting record against Bangladesh in test cricket, having scored 255 runs in three innings at an average of 85.
BAN vs SA Series Prediction
Both teams have played 14 test matches till date, with South Africa winning 12 out of them, while two ended in a draw. Bangladesh’s recent home record give them a slight advantage in the series, but to beat a big team like South Africa will be a tough challenge for them.
