India vs UAE Match Preview: Team India and UAE are all set to lock horns in the 8th match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022 at the Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Riding on high confidence after claiming a 3-0 victory against England in England, and winning the first two games of the continental event, team India will try to carry forward the winning momentum by beating UAE on Tuesday.
India on Saturday started their Women’s Asia Cup 2022 campaign by beating Sri Lanka by 41 runs. And then on Monday defeated Malaysia by 30 runs to record their second win of the tournament.
UAE, who also played their first game against Sri Lanka faced defeat by 11 runs. However, their bowlers performed well in the match as they managed to restrict the Lankan side to just 110 for 9 in 20 overs.
Indian management had decided to give rest to some of their star players against Malaysia, as the Women in blue have to play two consecutive games in span of 24 hours.
Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh were given rest during the Malaysia match. Sabbhineni Meghana, who was given a chance to open the innings in place of designated opener Smriti Mandhana, smashed a brilliant 69 off 53 that set the tone for India to put a huge total on board.
Another good news for India came in form of Shafali Verma also tried to open her arms with a knock 46 off 39 which is a good sign for India, considering bigger matches ahead in the tournament.
