Virat Kohli sledges Jonny Bairstow
Team India bowled out England for 284 runs to take 132 runs lead in the fifth and final test of the series at Edgbaston on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, when England started their final day campaign from 94 for 5, Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow found it difficult to face Indian seamer’s and the ex-skipper of team India Virat Kohli then indulged with a heated argument with power hitter Jonny Bairstow.
However, Bairstow turns the tables towards England’s side and started punishing Indian bowlers by hitting boundaries all over the ground, soon he completes his half-century and then recorded a brilliant century.
But, at last, the ex-sipper of India Virat Kohli finally emerged victorious in his conflict with Jonny Bairstow when he took the latter’s catch and reacted savagely.
After a bit of sledging with Bairstow on Day 2 and then going face to face with him on Day 3, Kohli completed his catch while standing at first slip. After having a hand in Barstow’s removal, Kohli responded in a savage manner by blowing a kiss in the air.

After being invited to bat first, India put on board a good total that left English side a bit behind in the game. However, England did a great start of the game after removing half of the Indian side under 100, including Virat Kohli.
But thanks to Rishabh Pant’s 146 and Ravindra Jadeja 104, India crossed 400 mark and posted 416 in their 1st innings.
England too faced a similar kind of start like India and lost their half side below hundred. Apart from Bairstow, who scored a ton, none of the other batters showed any signs of fighting spirit and got out after small starts.
The hosts recorded 284 in the first innings and are now 132 runs behind of team India.
This test is a part of last year’s five-match test series between India and England, which India by 2-1.
Last year, both nations failed to compete in the fifth and final test due to COVID outbreak. Then the boards ECB and BCCI decided to hold the final test during team India’s next visit to England in 2022.
After this test match India will lock horns with England in 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs.
