Happy Birthday Rahul Dravid: Born on January 11th, 1973, Rahul Sharad Dravid is popularly known as Rahul Dravid. He is the current head coach of the Indian national cricket team and a former captain of that squad.
One of the best batsmen in cricket history, Dravid is renowned for his solid batting technique and 24,177 runs in international play. Mr Dependable and The Wall are two of his more common nicknames.

Rahul Dravid’s Coaching Career up until now
In 2014, Dravid started working as a professional coach for Rajasthan Royal, an IPL team he had previously led. In his first year as the team mentor, he developed a number of young cricket players.
Dravid returned to the Indian blue, but this time as the Under-19 team’s coach, after spending two IPL seasons with RR. The Indian side advanced to the 2016 U19 World Cup final with Dravid in charge and a talented group of players that included Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, and Washington Sundar.
Dravid also coached the Delhi Daredevils, however, his efforts were not very successful. In 2016 and 2017, DD finished sixth on the point standings with him in charge.
Dravid might not have won the World Cup in 2016, but things were different in 2018. Rahul Dravid served as a coach as the India U-19 side won the 2019 U-19 World Cup in New Zealand with Prithvi Shaw as their captain.
In 2019, Dravid was appointed Director of Cricket Operations at Bangalore’s National Cricket Academy. In November 2021, Dravid was chosen to take over as the senior India men’s team’s full-time head coach when Ravi Shashti’s contract expired.
