Sudip Chatterjee News
In the same season, two experienced Bengal cricketers are about to leave the state. Sudip Chatterjee is going to follow the path of Wriddhiman Saha, where he left Bengal and was on his way to Tripura. Sudip can ask for permission from the Cricket Association of Bengal within a day or two.
Last season under the coaching of Arun Lal, he was not getting a place in the Ranji in the Bengal team. Sudip told Ananda Bazar Online, “I will go where I get more opportunities to play. I will get that opportunity in Tripura.”
Arun Lal’s season is over. The Bengal team is now in the hands of Laxmiratan Shukla. The Bengali team has also started practice. But Sudip did not join. Sudip said that Lakshmi called and tried to convince him. But it didn’t work, and he has decided to leave Bengal. He said that he will not move from that decision.
Riddhi also left the Bengal team this season. He was disappointed due to the words said by the chief of Bengal. After that he decided to leave the Bengal team, then he went to the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) at the beginning of July and brought the clearance. Sudip can now do the same thing by going to CAB and taking the clearance in a day or two. Riddhi and Sudip can be seen playing together in Tripura.
Even VVS Laxman who is currently the Cricket Association of Bengal’s batting consultant had long sessions with the Bengal players, including Sudip, in the last few sessions. But he was unable to understand or solve the left-hand batsman’s problem. After a long training camp, all he could say was “He (Sudip) had some technical and mental issues. But now it’s over. I am hopeful that he’ll get back among runs this season.”
When Sudip was dropped from the Syed Mushtaq Ali squad, he kept his head up and continued to practice like always. Losing form is nothing new for an established cricketer but it’s the responsibility of the board and the support staff to help him get back into his natural form.
Kishore Das Tripura Cricket Association Secretary Confirmed that “He is joining us for the upcoming domestic season. Chatterjee will be reaching Agartala on Monday and then complete the formalities. We are looking forward to bringing him on board.”
