SL vs AFG ODI Series: After a not-so-pleasant T20 World Cup campaign in Australia, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan are now set to face each other in a three-match ODI series, starting November 25.
Team Afghanistan is visiting Sri Lanka for this series and the fixtures come under ICC ODI super league 2023.
This is a crucial series for both the teams, Sri Lanka is currently placed 10th on the rankings and will miss out on a direct entry in case of any further flaws. While Afghanistan standing on the 7th spot and any loss will lose its grip to get the direct entry. Important to note that only the top 8 will receive direct entry into the World Cup 2023.
Team Sri Lanka as expected will be led by Dasun Shanaka. While Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead the Afghan team. Both teams consist of solid performers in the line-up, so it will be going to be an interesting series for sure.

The ODI series between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will kick-start from November 25. It will be a three-match series and all the games will take place at the Pallekele International Stadium in Pallekele on Nov 25, 27 and 30, respectively.

SL vs AFG Players To Watch Out For
The players to watch out for in the ODI series between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan would be the skipper of Sri Lanka Dasun Shanaka, wicket keeper batter Pathum Nissanka and destructive batter Bhanuka Rajapaksa, as all three are in good form and will most likely to dominate the series. Maheesh Theekshana and Pramod Madushan will be the bowlers from Sri Lanka Afghanistan should aware of.
There are some quality batters in the Afghanistan side too like Hashmatullah Shahidi, Rahmat Shah and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who hold the ability to score quick runs and provide their side an edge over opposition, with all are in good form, it will be interesting to see how they will perform in their tour to Sri Lanka.
