Before Carson’s intervention, Matthews and Henry put up a 47-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
When New Zealand slipped to 51 for 3, West Indies fought back with the ball early in the chase, but their run rate was good, so there was minimal pressure on the scoreboard, Green and Lauren Down put 66 runs together for the fourth wicket to break the target, and Green and Brooke Halliday then took them for six runs to finish them out before the last hiccup that did not prove costly.
