India U-19 beat New Zealand to reach U-19 World Cup Finals
IN-WU19 vs NZ-WU19 Match Highlights: Historic day for India, where the U-19 Indian team successfully defeated the New Zealand women by 9 wickets to reach the finals of the U-19 World Cup 2023.
After winning the toss young Indian team decided to bowl first, with the bowl in hand Indian women bowled really well in order to restrict New Zealand to 107/9 in 20 overs.
Indian women left no stone unturned as they bowled at the best level. The New Zealand side was unable to play at their best, as the Indian women did not give them any chance to build the momentum to set a huge total.
IN-WU19 vs NZ-WU19 Indian Bowlers
Parshavi Chopra was simply at her best as she recorded a figure of 3 wickets in four overs and conceded only 20 runs. She made sure that Kiwis did not have any how to deal with her. And other bowlers like Titas Sadhu, Mannat Kashyap, Shefali Verma, and Archana Devi all four of them picked up a wicket to restrict New Zealand to 107/9.
IN-WU19 vs NZ-WU19: New Zealand Struggling to get going
Along with the skipper Plimmer, wicketkeeper Isabella Gaze, and Plimmer were the only three players who scored double-digit scores in the whole New Zealand batting line-up.
All other Kiwis players failed to perform and it was certain that they were lacking the winning mentality throughout the game, as Indian bowlers restricted the Kiwis. At this stage of the ICC tournament, New Zealand feels like lost its grip and they start to fall apart.

Even though the skipper (Shafali Verma) was dismissed in the fourth over Shweta Sehrawat & Soumya Tiwari both made sure that India crossed the line and reach the U-19 World Cup Finals.
Young Shweta Sehrawat played a mature inning as she did not play any silly shots. Shweta made sure that India had a stable hand on the crease as she smashed 10 four in total and finished her knock with 61 runs in 45 balls.
IN-WU19 vs NZ-WU19: What’s Next?
India will have to wait till evening to decide on their opponent for the World Cup final. As India qualifies for the finals after the win against New Zealand, now they will face the winner of the second semi-final between England women and Australia women.
The final of the U-19 World Cup will be held on 29th January (Sunday) at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom (5:15 PM IST)
