ICC Releases Women’s Player of the Month Nominations for the First Time Ever! Find out Who are they

Women’s ODI Player Rankings: There is much effort going on to establish Women’s Cricket on World Stage. Be it holding multiple tournaments or looking after pay parity. In the same line ICC for the first time has nominated females for the Player of the month award.

As a result of their impressive performances in November, Pakistan veteran Sidra Ameen, Thailand’s Natthakan Chantham, and Ireland’s Gaby Lewis are all in line to earn their maiden victories.

Nominations for ICC Player of the Month Award (Female)

Gaby Lewis

With a Player of the Series effort during her team’s historic T20I series victory against Pakistan away from home, Ireland’s star opener Gaby Lewis displayed her class.

In the three games, Lewis scored 144 runs, including two half-centuries, and her quick-fire 71 from just 46 deliveries in the series finale in Lahore was essential to the outcome.

In the previous November three-game ODI series against Pakistan, the 21-year-old scored a total of 58 runs.

Natthakan Chantham

In Thailand’s 4-0 series victory over the Netherlands at home, aggressive opener Natthakan Chantham was a picture of consistency, scoring 267 runs at a staggering average of over 66.

Chantham opened the series with a superb 102 in Chiangmai, and he followed it up with scores of 42, 55, and 68 in the subsequent games to ensure Thailand won the series.

Then, in the first game of their four-game T20I series, Thailand’s crushing 10-wicket victory over the Netherlands, the 26-year-old displayed her talent in the game’s shortest format by making an unbeaten 41.

Sidra Ameen

Sidra Ameen nearly was the most dominating player during Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Ireland at home. Scoring 277 runs on her own while being getting out just once.

The elegant series opener scored an undefeated 176 in the opening game in Lahore and followed it up with a stylish 91* in the second game, which Pakistan won to win the series.

Ameen, 30, was ejected for 10 in the third and final game of the series, but she had already accomplished enough to guarantee that she would win Player of the Series.
