Rahul played in the middle for a total of 20 minutes. As India’s batting coach Vikram Rathour arrived for the traditional Press conference prior to the Super 12 match against South Africa on Sunday in Perth, it was possible that his continued ineligibility for the starting lineup or his repeated failures were the only challenges.

No adjustments were made to the batting order. Although Rathour stated that the starting 11 for the crucial match against South Africa will be chosen after the players inspected the Perth Stadium at practice sessions. The workout was scheduled to follow the traditional press briefing.

The batters on our squad don’t seem to mind the pace of the game. I have no worries. It appears to be good. Melbourne was challenging.
When questioned if Rishabh Pant was warming the bench?
Rathour responded that he had been told to be ready. Dinesh Karthik, a seasoned wicketkeeper-batsman, was given preference over Pant because of his finishing abilities and Panth’s underwhelming performance with the bat in T20Is.
Unfortunately, only XI will be able to join the squad.
Rishabh is a very skilled player, and we are aware of his potential against any team. He has been told to be ready because the chance could present itself at any time. He needs to always be prepared both physically and intellectually. We’ll monitor when he has the chance.

As a hitting unit, our goal is to score as many runs as possible.”
Fans can continue to argue over whether Pant should replace “finisher” Dinesh Karthik and whether Axar Patel or Yuzvendra Chahal should play in the second spinner position as the batting coach discusses the horses for a course approach to selecting the starting XI to face the Proteas.
