Zim Afro T10 2023: All you need to Know
An intriguing cricket competition called Zim Afro T10 that will take place in Zimbabwe is soon. T Ten Sports Management, in collaboration with Zimbabwe Cricket, is in charge of organising this forthcoming competition.
On July 3, 2023, the Zim Afro T10 cricket league draught took place. A minimum of 16 players had to be chosen by each team for their roster.
Six of these 16 players, including one who is a “emerging player,” must be from Zimbabwe.
Each side also selected four star players for their rosters before the draught. A total of 700 players from 23 cricket-playing nations took part in the draught. Sean Williams, a hitter from Zimbabwe, was selected first overall in the draught.
Zim Afro T10 brings together brilliant players from these cricket-loving nations, with five teams coming from both South Africa and Zimbabwe. Zim Afro T10 matches will be played in a brisk 10-overs-a-side format, guaranteeing brisk and action-packed contests. Each game lasts about 90 minutes, so spectators can anticipate non-stop action from beginning to end.
The Zim Afro T10 tournament structure uses a double round-robin system to make sure that each team has the opportunity to face off against one another twice. After the round-robin round, the competition moves into the Eliminators, where the top four teams compete to advance to the Final.
Sikandar Raza has been selected by the Bulawayo Braves as their emblematic player. Rahmanullah Gurbaz is an iconic player for the Cape Town Samp Army. The Durban Qalandars’ symbol player has been chosen as Asif Ali. As the icon player for the Harare Hurricanes, Eoin Morgan, and the Joburg Buffaloes, Mushfiqur Rahim, respectively.
Former Indian cricketers who are now playing in the T10 league include Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, S. Sreesanth, Stuart Binny, Parthiv Patel, and Yusuf Pathan.
Zim Afro T10 will provide a stage for both seasoned athletes and up-and-coming performers to demonstrate their abilities in a demanding and high-stress setting.
