Will David Warner play in PSL instead of IPL 2025?
With the ICC mega event Champions Trophy expected to be played in February 19 to March 09, the PSL (Pakistan Super League) will start from April this time rather than usual February-March window. Let’s know Will David Warner play in PSL instead of IPL 2025.
Due to the packed cricket calendar, the Pakistan’s league will clash with World’s biggest T20 league, the IPL, which begins on March 14, 2025.
Some of international stars, including David Warner, Kane Williamson, Steve Smith among top players, went unsold during the recent IPL mega auction, sparking speculation that the left-handed Australian batter and T20 great David Warner might play in PSL this time instead of IPL.
Will Warner choose PSL over IPL?
As all ten IPL teams’ squads are already filled, Warner’s prospects of playing in IPL 2025 appear slim, unless he is called up as a replacement for an injured player.
While the PSL10 draft is scheduled to take place on January 11, and the high-profile cricketers who were not selected in IPL, may attempt to make their mark in the PSL.
David Warner, one of the top players, can be seen playing in Pakistan Cricket League, as he has already retired from international cricket, and there is no such league during the March to May window other than IPL and PSL.
However, there is no confirmation from his side whether or not Warner will join the PSL as of yet.
David Warner’s performance in T20s and IPL
