What changes should India make for 4th Test
Team India after leveling the series in the second test at Egbaston against England went on to lose the chance to gain the lead of the series in the third test at the Lord’s in the 3rd test of the India Tour of England 2025. Let’s have a look at what changes should India make for 4th test.
Inconsistent Top-order
Players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Karun Nair have been unable to churn their batting instincts into strong runs for the team on the scoreboard. Karun Nair who has an expertise on the English pitches has been unable to perform well for a remarkable player who holds several good stats in these conditions.
Apart from them KL Rahul has been a constant pillar for the team alongside Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant. Although Gill and Pant failed to perform well with their bat, they will be determined to make a difference in the next 2 tests.
Bumrah Factor
Jasprit Bumrah clearly has no proper support form his fellow bowlers, bowlers like Siraj and Jadeja have been decent yet incompetent. With Bumrah being the only premier bowler and the most wicket-taker in the squad, pressure is piling up on him and will affect his performances in the upcoming tests.
Apart from the performance and support issues, Bumrah had been advised to play only 3 matches out of the 5-match test series, and in the last three matches, Bumrah having already played 2 tests means, Bumrah will have to sit out one test. However, If Bumrah is rested for the 4th test, India will be in a heap of trouble without their premier bowler in the squad.
The 4th test in Manchester will be a pivotal point in the test series, wherein India who are 2-1 down will be aiming to level the series, while England will be determined to take the lead upto 3-1.
