Saurabh Netravalkar out Virat Kohli in IND vs USA T20 WC 2024

Saurabh Netravalkar out Virat Kohli: Mumbai-born Saurabh Netravalkar once again grabbed the limelight after removing the best batter of modern-day cricket, Virat Kohli, for a duck.  

Defending a low total of 111 in New York, Netravalkar gave the opponent no time to set in middle and dismissed Virat Kohli for none, and India’s captain Rohit for 3 in his second over of the game to put the Indian side under pressure. 

Earlier, Netravalkar played a big role with the ball to beat Pakistan in the USA’s first match of the T20 World Cup 2024. The left-arm pacer gave only 18 runs in his 4 overs and took 2 wickets against the runner up of the last edition of T20 World Cup played in 2022.  

The was tied and went to super over, captain Monank Patel showed his faith in Netravalkar and gave him the ball in the decisive over, Saurabh did not disappoint his captain and hand USA a win over Pakistan.  

United States of America are on the verge of creating history, as a victory in their last group stage game Ireland will hand them a ticket to qualify for the super eight round of the T20 World Cup 2024.  

What’s the story of Saurabh Netravalkar?

Saurabh Netravalkar was born in Mumbai city of India in 1991 and has also played for India in the Under-19 World Cup 2010. He was the leading wicket taker for team India in that tournament. He kept on playing in the Indian domestic field before flying to USA to pursue Masters.

Netravalkar did not leave cricket and continued to play cricket while being USA and finally got the chance to play for United States of America team in beginning of 2018 and later became the captain of the US cricket team.
