KL Rahul to lead RCB in IPL 2025?: In the world of cricket, the rumors and speculations never stop coming and currently, KL Rahul’s possible move to RCB is the hot topic. RCB who have never won an IPL title is in search of a new skipper with Faf Du Plessis’s age factor being an issue. KL Rahul who was a part of the RCB franchise in the past is now reportedly set to join the RCB team for the IPL 2025 season and could also take over the captaincy from Faf if this move is successful.
Rahul who is currently the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants is reportedly upset with the management role and is all set to cut his ties with LSG before the 2025 Mega auction. However, it is also believed that LSG is not all thinking about releasing KL Rahul ahead of the mega auction. But multiple reports indicate that Rahul is considering a move to his parent club RCB for the IPL 2025.

KL Rahul IPL Journey: From Zero to Hero
KL Rahul started off his IPL journey first with RCB back in 2013, but later, he was bought by Hyderabad in 2014, before coming back to RCB in 2016. However, Rahul played well for RCB in the 2016 edition but was ruled out in the 2017 edition due to a shoulder injury.
Until 2017 Rahul had a shaky IPL career but it all changed when he was bought by Punjab Kings in 2018. Rahul smashed 2548 runs in his four editions with Punjab, where he went past the 600 runs mark three times. During his time with Punjab Kings Rahul proved his real skill as a proper T20 Player.
Before the 2022 edition, the IPL Council announced the introduction of two new teams (Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants) where KL Rahul decided to join Lucknow Super Giants and was named the skipper for the team. During his time with the Lucknow team, he scored 1,410 runs in three editions.
Will KL Rahul Join RCB for IPL 2025?
Even though it is too early to say whether KL Rahul will move to RCB or not, however, it is safe to understand that, this could be a possible move that KL Rahul is considering due to his ties with the RCB management and moreover he is a Bengaluru boy.
Even in the last edition of the IPL, there were reports saying Rahul was unhappy with the owners and the management of the Lucknow team. So if this is true then it is sure that Rahul will be considering a move away from Lucknow Super Giants for the 2025 season.
Considering the Mega Auction, it will also be difficult for RCB to get the services of KL Rahul as for a player of his caliber the other teams will also be looking to get Rahul into their teams. So that’s why this is an early stage to decide but with the mega auction coming anything can be possible.
