Ishan Kishan or Rishabh Pant in IND vs BAN T20Is?

Ishan Kishan or Rishabh Pant: After returning to the Indian cricket team, Rishabh Pant played continuously for the team and is now a member of the Indian Test squad vs Bangladesh. To manage his workload, and with the New Zealand Tests coming up soon, there is a chance that he will be rested for the India vs Bangladesh three-match Test series.

If it does, it may present an opportunity for Indian left-hand batter and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, who was left out of the BCCI’s central contract. Kishan last played for the Indian team in 2023 and has not appeared in a match since then.

Following this, the BCCI expected Ishan Kishan to participate in domestic cricket, but he chose to be absent from his state team during the Ranji Trophy matches as a consequence, he was left out of the BCCI’s central contracts for allegedly not agreeing to participate in domestic cricket.

Initially, Ishan Kishan had a good comeback in the Duleep Trophy, scoring a century in a recent encounter with India B. His strong performance may earn him a position in the forthcoming T20 series against Bangladesh, as he is the only player who can replace Rishab Pant as a left-handed batsman and wicketkeeper. On the other hand, there are other experienced wicketkeepers on the team, like KL Rahul, whose poor performance may lead to an opportunity for Ishan Kishan.
