Strengths:
- One of the main standing pillars for RCB for almost a decade is their former skipper Virat Kohli. His presence on the field gives them the entire side a big boost and even he is very personally attached to this franchise. During the last few seasons, Kohli’s batting was that great because of the captaincy duties – Now he is free from those responsibilities and he will look to fire up his game for this edition.
- The addition of Faf du Plessis in the top-order will definitely make a huge difference for them. Having the experienced player at the top will be a boost for them and everyone knows how much an opening batsman is important in a T20 game. He has single-handedly won many games for CSK and he will look to continue the same form in this edition too.
- Dinesh Karthik’s inclusion will make a huge impact on them as the tournament progresses. Everyone knows how RCB was struggling in the middle over the years and with his inclusion the franchise is looking to fill in the gap.
Weakness:
- We have to admit that AB de Villiers was one of the important players of the RCB’s camp over the years and his absence in this edition might hurt them very badly.
- No Doubt they have good batsmen in the camp – But there is no consistency in the batting unit. Looking at the entire RCB players on paper it looks like they are not a strong batting unit – But we have to see what they will bring in as the tournament progresses.
