The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), which had earlier expressed reservations about sending their players to the 2nd leg, has now consented. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) was supposed to host the tournament in India. In October, the series was planned to broadcast. The ACB and Cricket West Indies (CWI), on the other hand, are still to announce whether they would participate in a series organized by Cricket Australia. CWI has also announced that its players would be available for the IPL 2021 2nd leg.

The announcement of Australian players’ questionable participation in the IPL 2021 came on the same day that New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced that its players will be released for the IPL 2021’s 2nd leg. New Zealand will play two series in Bangladesh and Pakistan, with their IPL-bound stars missing out and a second-string team is being selected.
