Nabi’s Comments

Mohammed Nabi was awarded Player of the Match, for his match-winning performance. In the post-match press conference. He said “We performed well after a long time on the field, it felt very good. The wicket wasn’t easy, you needed to spend some time and so I targeted the last couple of overs looking to get to 150.”

“We felt it was an even score, just wanted to bowl straight and keep them under pressure. The ball was skidding at times and stayed low or high at other times, it wasn’t easy at all to bat. The crowd here has been amazing, they’ll (Amazon Warriors) have home support but we’ll look to perform well tomorrow.”

What’s Next?

Even though the opening contest of the day was as lopsided as it could have been, it still had many unexpected turns. The game might have taken a different turn if Alzarri Joseph had received assistance from the opposing team, but the Tallawahs remained unrelenting the entire time and earned the victory.

They’ll be back, and they’re eager to keep up this momentum when they face the Amazon Warriors in tomorrow’s qualifier two.
