West Indies vs Ireland – 9 Wickets

It was a do or die game for the two-time T20 World Cup champions and they lost the chance of qualifying for the super 12 phase by facing a shocking 9 wicket defeat from Ireland.

The Nicolas Pooran side first failed to put a good score on board as they only added 146 on board in 20 overs. And later their bowlers failed to grip the Irish batters and witnessed a big setback.

Brandon King was the only batter for them, who showed some courage by playing a knock of unbeaten 62. While Akeal Hosein was the only bowler for the Caribbean side, who took a wicket.

Ireland vs Sri Lanka – 9 wickets

The first match of both the qualifier teams in the Super 12 stage ended in Sri Lanka’s favour.

It was a perfect start for the Asian Champions of their group stage campaign as they showed character with both bowl and bat. As after restricting the Irish side for just 128, they completed the target with ease in just 15 overs with 9 wickets in hand.

Kusal Mendis scored the highest runs for the side with unbeaten 68 in 43.

India vs England – 10 Wickets

It was the big day for both the teams and the biggest day for the cricket fans as the two world giants were set to lock horns in order to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2022 finals.
