The 17th match of the Big Bash League 2024-25 between the Adelaide Strikers vs Perth Scorchers started with the Scorchers winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Bowling Attack led by Behrendorff

The bowling stint of Perth from Lance Morris and Jason Behrendorffwase key in dismissing the Strikers top-order, taking three quick wickets in the first six overs of the 1st innings. Allen & Connolly Super Smash Innings

Adelaide Strikers started the 2nd innings with fast bowler Henry Thornton making an impact early in the Perth Scorchers chase, taking two wickets in his first over, which included wickets of the openers Matty Hurst and Aaron Hardie. The Scorchers were 5-2 after two overs.

Finn Allen then put in a strong recovery, scoring a flashing 50 off 23 balls, with four fours and three sixes. He was dismissed by Brendon Doggett at 89-3 in the ninth over. Cooper Connolly (48* off 35 balls) and captain Ashton Turner (35 off 18 balls) then comfortably took their team towards victory, securing a seven-wicket victory in just 14.3 overs and moving to second in the quest for the Big Bash League Title.
