Invited to bat, the Strikers lost their first wicket in second, second in fourth, and were at 61 when they lost their third in 5.2 overs.
Jake Weatherald, who opened the innings for Adelaide, provided the team with a solid start with his quick-fire 19-ball 40.
Strikers were managed to reach 182 in their 20 overs campaign, thanks to Jamie Overton’s 35-ball 45*, and James Bazley heroic 31 off 12 balls cameo.

T20 star, David Warner, was unable to display his talent in this game, as he got out cheaply at seven during the run-chase.
However, his opening partner Sam Kontas played a solid knock of 27-ball 56 and provided the Thunder’s a steady start.
Things were in Sydney Thunders favour when Oliver Davies and Sam Billings were at the crease, but as soon as Oliver got out, the team faced some trouble.
They were at 118 in 13.2 when Oliver went back to pavilion after scoring 23. Billings (29) was the next man to walk back.
With 57 required off the final 5, all-rounder Daniel Sams took the responsibility on his shoulders and scored an unbeaten 42 off 18 to make his win in their opening clash.
