Joe Root is in the form of his life as he scores a century in every test match played in the series against India. He’s currently averaging 126.75 with his bat and there’s no stopping him. Not only with his bat, but Joe Root has also been brilliant with this captaincy too. He has led the team from the front as a captain where he was a lone warrior in 1st two test matches. Joe Root’s side completely dominated the Indian side in 3rd test match and with that win, he becomes the most successful captain of England. Micheal Vaughan had a record of winning 26 matches while Root has surpassed by winning one more than that. England had some great captains like Sir Allister Cook, Micheal Vaughan, and Andrew Strauss but Joe Root is taking down all the records.

It’s been 4 years since Joe Root is captaining the England side and his batting performance was affected in the start but he later started converting his fifties into hundreds. Although there is a debate there Root needs to win an Ashes series to be the greatest Test captain ever.

Sky Sports Cricket tweeted on an official Twitter account and saying, “Does Joe Root need to win an Ashes series to be classed as one of England’s ‘great’ Test captains?”

All Rounder Stokes took the opportunity and tweeted with a reply that “Already is the greatest….most wins as an English Test Captain.. the end of”.

We’ve Ashes coming on after the T20 World Cup which starts from December 8. It will be played in Australia where England might have a hard time winning it. The last time around when England visited Australia in 2017, the home side thrashed the English side 4-0. We will have an entertaining power-packed end to the year with the likes of IPL, T20 World Cup, and Ashes coming up. All this will be played in the span of 4 months.
