BCCI In Talks With West Indies Cricket Board To Avoid Clash With CPL

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced officially that IPL 2021 will resume in UAE. BCCI in talks With CWI board to prepone CPL to avoid clash with IPL. The Board is looking at the September-October Window.

BCCI is trying to convince the West Indies Cricket board to avoid a clash with CPL 2021 by a week or 10 days to ensure smooth bubble transfer of players for the resumption of IPL 2021 in the UAE come September.

 

CPL 2021 to commence from 28 August

 

Caribbean Premier League 2021 is all set to start from August 28th and it will run till September 19th. This season all the 33 matches will take place at Warner Park, St Kitts & Nevis.

BCCI In Talks With CWI Board. BCCI official closed to the development was quoted saying, “We are in talks with Cricket West Indies. We are hoping that if CPL can be finished a few days in advance, it would help in the bubble-to-bubble transfer of all players to Dubai and in time to complete the mandatory three-day quarantine.”

There are few big names who are associated with IPL. Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo are key players for their respective IPL franchises. Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Nicholas Pooran, and Sunil Narine are also key IPL players.
