The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the applications for the posts as head coach, batting coach, bowling coach, fielding coach, physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach and administrative manager.
“The current coaching staff of Team India (Senior Men) will get an automatic entry in the recruitment process,” – BCCI said.
Here Is the Qualification Criteria For Staff:
- The head coach should have coached a Test-playing nation for a minimum of two years or three years with an associate member/A team/IPL side. The applicant also should have played 30 Tests or 50 ODIs. And the head coach who will need to be less than 60 years of age
- The criteria remain the same for batting, bowling and fielding coach except for the number of games played. The three personnel should have played at least 10 Tests or 25 ODIs and be less than 60 years of age.
The interested candidates are requested to apply on or before 5 pm on July 30.
“Pertinent to note, that the decision of the BCCI for the said position, will remain final and binding,” – released by Supreme Court-appointed CoA.
Team India coach Ravi Shastri, bowling coach Bharat Arun, batting coach Sanjay Bangar and fielding coach R Sridhar were given a 45-day extension after the World Cup, covering India’s tour of West Indies, starting on August 3.
All of these four coaches are set to get an automatic entry in the recruitment process and the team is all set to have a new trainer and a new physio as Shankar Basu and Patrick Farhart left the team after India lost their semi-finals and were knocked out of World Cup.
India is scheduled to play three T20’s and as many One Day Internationals before two test matches on a month-long tour to West Indies.
