Therefore, the BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah, claimed that he has spoken with the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) administration, and supporters would be able to see Kohli take a position in his 100th Test match.

“The decision to allow spectators into the ground is one taken by State Cricketing Associations and in present circumstances, is based on various factors. I have spoken with the PCA office bearers and they have confirmed that cricket fans will be able to witness the historic moment of Virat Kohli playing his 100th Test match,” said Jay Shah in his statement.

Virat Kohli would be remembered as one of the legends of the game to have stood nearby for India in Tests. The 33-year-old striking powerhouse has amassed about 8000 runs for Team India in whites, with a staggering avg of 50.39.

Kohli has also struck 27 hundreds in Test matches and is also the only Indian batsman to achieve a whopping 7 double centuries in the longest format. However, Twitter were pleased that fans are likely to witness Kohli’s historic Test match.
