Bangladesh Cricket Board has issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to join the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2019.
BCB cricket operation chairman Akram Khan told that they have permitted Shakib to join the franchise-based T20 tournament and are expecting him to be available before the training camp for the upcoming tour of India. The Bangladesh tour is scheduled in the month of November which includes three T20 Internationals and two Tests.
“We have given him the NOC to take part in the CPL. We are expecting him to be available before the preparation for the series against India though we are yet to finalize the date of his return,” – Akram said.
Shakib who has missed the last edition of CPL 2018 due to an injury, is going to represent the same Barbados Tridents in the latest edition as well. He is set to leave the country for the T20 tournaments after the final match of the Bangladesh tri-national series.
Meanwhile, Afif Hossain who was picked up by St Kitts and Nevis Patriots was been denied by BCB to give the NOC as they wanted him to prepare for the ongoing tri-series by making him play the High-Performance Unit of Sri Lanka at home.
