The BBL is poised to begin in Australia, with the very first match scheduled for December 5, 2021. The Melbourne Stars are a fan-favorite group of players like Maxwell, Stoinis, and Zampa, but they do have yet to win a title. Also with the start of a new season, they are once again regarded as title contenders. Here is all about why David Hussey Aims To Bring KKR Lessons To Melbourne Stars.

Stars’ coach, David Hussey joined the team in 2019-20, which lost in the finals versus the Sydney Sixers. Unfortunately, they were unable to make the playoffs in the 2020-21 season.

“I actually learned more about [the job] last year when we’re not playing as well than the first year when everything was going smoothly,” Hussey said. “A lot of man management, a lot of strategy meetings, and sometimes your strategy is not always correct.”

As an assistant coach for the KKR in the IPL, David Hussey collaborates with Brendon McCullum. He has disclosed that Brendon has faith in his colleagues, and David wishes to do the same with the Stars squad. In the BBL 2021-22, he will be partnered with Ben Rohrer and Clint McKay. KKR’s prospects improved in the 2nd half of the IPL 2021 by performing aggressive cricket.

New school batting is hit a six then another six: Hussey

Hussey also desires that the Melbourne Stars will play passionate cricket in the BBL. They have added Joe Clarke, and that they also got Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell on their lineup. Beau Webster, Hilton Cartwright, and Nick Larkin can also take on the role.

“Old school T20 batting is hit a six and a one,” Hussey said. “But new school batting is hit a six then another six. Put the bowler under as much pressure as possible.”

“So my thinking has changed. But if you go in with negative thoughts as a batter and pass it on, they start doubting themselves so it’s all about giving them as much confidence as they possibly can and if they want to hit six sixes in the over, they’ve got our blessing.”

On December 5, 2021, the Melbourne Stars will kick off their BBL 2021-22 season versus the Sydney Stars.
