Bancroft As Concussion Stand By In The Squad

The Australian cricketer Cameron Bancroft’s selection for the two tests against Pakistan has generated much debate. In the earlier of this year, he had been dropped after the first two ashes tests in England. And returned in the Sheffield shield were he has scored 57 runs in 6 innings at the average of 11.4, and his top score is 30. This performance of Bancroft in Sheffield shield didn’t point to a callback. Once he was in Australia group A squad in practice game on Pakistan as a substitute player of unavailable nic Maddison were he has scored 49 runs by facing 155 deliveries in the second innings.

Inclusion of Bancroft in the squad can cause the changing landscape of selection around concussion substitutes.australia have already experienced it with Marnus Labuschagne in England.

Cameron Bancroft said “I think that’s probably the way the game has had to evolve a little bit, Marnus was a great example during the Ashes. He was able to come in and have a really big impact in that game. You (need to) be as flexible as you can, and you need resources in your team to be flexible for whatever happens.”

“It was a surprise, I haven’t got any big hundreds or the runs I would have liked. I’ve been out in a couple of really strange ways. But contrary to a lot of other times in my career, I felt like I have been playing well. I have just been out of runs at the time.

“I’ve found some good confidence in one-day cricket, I’m feeling good. If I get an opportunity, hopefully, I can make a big score.” He added.

The first Test between Australia and Pakistan starts Thursday (November 21) in Brisbane.

Australia and Pakistan are going to face each other in their first test on November 21st Thursday at Brisbane.
