Cameron Green Injury

Cameron Green Injury: Due to a fractured finger, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green was unable to bowl during the third Test match in Sydney against South Africa on Wednesday. He will also be unable to bowl during the fourth Test match in Melbourne.

On day two of the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday, the 23-year-old got a severe blow to the finger on his bat with a fast bowler by the name of Anrich Nortje. He went for scans after retiring hurt.

Australia struggle in the form of Injury

The news that Cameron Green has broken a bone in his finger on Wednesday morning has added to Australia’s injury concerns for the Boxing Day Test and beyond.

Green will be able to bat again if necessary but won’t bowl in South Africa’s second innings due to a slight fracture in his right index finger, a Cricket Australia official revealed.

Australia Struggling with lack of Bowlers

Mitchell Starc, Australia’s spearhead for pace, is another concern because he injured a finger on Monday. Australia will only have three healthy bowlers left if he is unable to play the remainder of the Melbourne Test skipper Pat Cummins, fellow pacer Scott Boland, and spinner Nathan Lyon.

Since injuring his finger, Starc has bowled and batted in the nets. Coach Andrew McDonald insisted that Starc would be able to participate in the NRMA Insurance Test, although he acknowledged that his injury would severely limit his participation.

“He’ll play a role with both bat and ball throughout the course of the game,” Coach stated.

AUS vs SA, 2nd Test: Day 3 Updates

Australia away head in the series but Injury problems cause a bit of concern in the dressing room. Now with only three bowlers available at the start of day 3 of the second test match.

For the final session, we are back. Under overcast skies and artificial lighting, Australia will feel confident in their chances against a struggling South African top order. Green and Starc did bat, but they lack bowling ability. Nathan Lyon will have to bowl lengthy stints if they don’t

Early on, Australia lost Khawaja, and Labuschagne was quite unlucky to have his innings ended by a runout. But Australia discovered a resurgent partnership in two well-known players, as Steve Smith and David Warner dominated the Proteas.

Amazing Performances from Australia

At 575/8, Australia declares. They have batted beautifully, and South Africa, with the exception of Nortje, lacked any significant bite to pose a threat to the hosts.

After a string of underwhelming performances, Warner appeared eager to make this one count. He responded to his detractors in some style by scoring a double hundred on his 100th Test. Smith lost his balance and suffered an 85-point loss, while Warner retired hurt.
