ICC announces T20 World Cup 2022 Warm Up Schedule

The official pre-tournament schedule for all 16 teams competing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 was announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday. Games will take place in Melbourne and Brisbane. On October 17 and 19, Team India will play exhibition games against Australia and New Zealand at the Gabba in Brisbane. In Melbourne, where matches will be split between the Melbourne Cricket Ground and Junction Oval from October 10 to 13, first round teams will start their pregame routines.

All warm-up games for teams entering the Super 12 stage will take place over two match days in Brisbane on October 17 and 19. These games will be played at Allan Border Field and The Gabba, a statement in a press release.

On October 10, the two-time defending champions West Indies will face the United Arab Emirates in the first warm-up match at Junction Oval. Each of the First Round teams will play two warm-up matches.

The lone official pregame match for the hosts, Australia, will take place against India on October 17 at The Gabba. On October 19, also at The Gabba, India, the top-ranked team in the world, will play New Zealand.

The four warm-up matches at The Gabba on October 17 and 19 will be televised live by the ICC’s Global Broadcast Partner Star Sports, although spectators will not be allowed to watch warm-up matches. Additionally, all matches’ live scores and match highlights will be available on the ICC digital outlets.
