Asia XI Squad Intensified By Indian Players To Face World XI

Asia XI: Celebrating The 100th Birth Anniversary Of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahma.

Asia XI vs World XI is a T20 tournament that is going to be held on the 18th and 21st of March at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. It is organized by Bangladesh to celebrate the 100th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahma.

Bangladesh Cricket Board has finally announced the 15-man squad which is going to represent the Asia XI. There will be two highly-anticipated matches between the two teams.

15-Man Squad Of Asia XI

Indian Players Re-inforcing The Squad

The fans were eager to know that which Indian players will be named in the Asia XI squad for the two matches. Previously, many reports have appeared on the internet that Sourav Ganguly, the president of BCCI had sent names of Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Kuldeep Yadav, and Mohammed Shami to the BCB.

However, two more Indian names are further added in the final list and that is of KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Thus there will be six Indian players in the team dominating the Asia XI squad.

Players From The Host Bangladesh

Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal, pacer Mustafizur Rahman, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Liton Das is going to play from the host side in the tournament.

Two Participants From Afghanistan

Along with them, two players of Afghanistan, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman have been added in the squad.

Players From Sri Lanka And Nepal

From Sri Lanka Lasith Malinga and all-rounder, Thisara Perera will take part in the tournament along with spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, who is a single participant from Nepal.

Aamer Yamin Disappointed

But the key point that everyone noticed in the Asia XI squad is that no Pakistan player has been named for the tournament. The all-rounder player of Pakistan, Aamer Yamin took Twitter as a platform to show his disappointment regarding the decision of BCB for not including the names of Pakistan players.

He tweeted, “No Asia XI without Pakistani players. The team isn’t looking good without Pakistani players.”
