The 2022 edition of Asia Cup be the 15th edition of the prestigious tournament. The event is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka. However, due to political and financial crisis in the country the tournament can be likely to held at Bangladesh, nothing is finalized yet regarding this matter as the ACC will decide this after a meeting later this month.

Asia Cup 2022 Schedule:
The Asia Cup 2022 will take place from August 27 to September 2011. The tournament will be played in T20 format. When last time this tournament was played in 2018, it was in 50-over format, but considering the upcoming ICC T20I World Cup in October this year, the Asian Cricket Council planned to host the tournament in twenty-20 format to help teams prepare for the upcoming world cup.
How many teams are participating in Asia Cup 2022?
There will be as many as six teams will lock horns with each other, with 5 test playing are already qualified for the Asia Cup 2022. The remaining one place will be decided with the after qualifiers. Right now there are four teams (UAE, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuwait) will battle it out in the qualifiers to claim that one spot.
