At the end of 10 overs of the 9th T20 match of Asia Cup 2022, Team India’s total is 79 for the loss of two wickets. During the first six overs, Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav utilized the opportunity, by scoring just 44 runs, despite Sri Lanka’s good bowling attack. The power play restrictions helped the scoreboard ticking for the blue and orange brigade. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka was successful in finding an early breakthrough in terms of KL Rahul (6) and Virat Kohli (0) wickets.

The spinner, Mahesh Theekshana, bowled a tough second over and picked KL Rahul’s wicket. Immediately after Rahul’s dismissal, Virat Kohli took the pavilion route for a golden duck after playing four dot balls.

A total of 11 runs came off the 9th over. Post power play overs, Wanindu Hasaranga was brought into the attack and he tried to kept things tight. Asitha Fernando bowled the 10th over of the innings and conceded 14 runs from the over.
