Asia cup 2022 IND Vs PAK: When and where to watch?
The wait is almost over to witness one of the biggest battle on cricket field as arch-rivals India and Pakistan are all set to face each other in the second match of Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Stadium in some hours.
The 6 team tournament was started on August 27, and in the opening game Afghanistan defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets.
On Sunday, August 28, all eyes will be on Rohit-led Indian side and Babar-led Pakistan side.
When the last time both teams played against each other in October last year in an ICC T20 World Cup, league game, the men in blue suffered defeat against Pakistan by 10 wickets.
The venue of the game, Dubai International Cricket Ground serves as the Pakistan Cricket team’s adopted home stadium and with it will host the majority of the Asia Cup 2022 matches, Pakistan will have an unfair advantage due to their greater familiarity with the field.
The biggest setback both teams faced when they lost their main pacer due to injuries. India will miss the services of their favourite Jasprit Bumrah, while Pakistan will be without Shaheen Shah Afridi in the whole tournament.
However, both teams are still looking strong on paper, making it hard to predict who will win. Given the quality of their trustworthy bowlers, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal, as well as their power-hitting batters, India will have a stronger chance of winning the match on Sunday.
India, Pakistan and Hong Kong are in group A. While Sri Lanka, Afghanistan along with Bangladesh are part of group B.
Each team will play against each other in the group and later top two teams will advance to the super four, starting next week, followed by the final of Asia Cup 2022 on September 11.
