Amit Mishra has been ruled out:
The leg spinner of Delhi Capitals, Amit Mishra has been ruled out of the 2020 IPL because of a tendon injury during a match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday (03-10-2020) in Sharjah.
An official of DC stated that on Sunday, there was a scan and according to the scan report, Mishra has tendon injury.
The official said “As per the reports Amit Mishra can’t play the remaining matches of the season and we have to find a replacement for him. But the worst thing is that he was in his fantastic form and in the rhythm that was helping him to get wickets.”
With the JSW brand, Amit Mishra is hopeful for recovery from his injury and his rehabilitation would be outstanding as JSW has a robust system and even his match fee is not something he has to worry about as he was injured while playing for Delhi Capitals.
Replacement of Amit Mishra:
In the 19th match of 2020 IPL, which is set to be held on Monday (05-10-2020) against Bangalore, the injury of Amit Mishra enforced him to rule out from the tournament. Now the main question is who will replace Amit Mishra for the RCB VS DC match. it would be very much interesting to see if DC will go ahead with spinner or pacer.
Delhi Capitals has to choose from the bench players for the replacement of Amit Mishra. The misfortune of Amit Mishra has opened the way again for Axar Patel, who was not included in the playing squad against KKR. For the first three matches, Axar Patel was playing for DC and in those matches, he played quite good with both ball and bat.
However, Ishant Sharma can be another good substitute for Amit Mishra against RCB. In this season, Ishant Sharma has played only one match against Sunrisers Hyderabad where he conceded 26 runs in three overs after which he was not included in the team. The pacer is looking for another chance to showcase his expertise.
