Afghanistan vs West Indies: Kieron Pollard Strikes A Chord

The West Indies cricketer Kieron Pollard is currently leading his team in the T20I series against Afghanistan. Even in India, Kieron Pollard has a large fan following. He represents the Mumbai Indians franchise which is owned by reliance during the IPL (Indian Premier League). Most Indians love Pollard for his all-round performances. He also played a crucial role in the victory of the Mumbai Indians franchise in IPL 2019. On Monday, when West Indies were playing against Afghanistan, Kieron Pollard struck a chord with the spectators.

Pollard changes “No ball” in to “Dead Ball”

It so happened when Kieron Pollard came to bowl in 25th over of the Afghanistan innings, they were at 97 for 4. While delivering the first ball he has stepped outside the line, Afghanistan’s umpire Ahmed Shah Durrani had declared it a “no ball’’ but clever Pollard didn’t deliver the ball, forcing the umpire to call it a dead ball. Pollard denied one extra run and an extra ball of Afghanistan with his presence of mind.

Kieron Pollard conceded 20 runs in his 5 overs of bowling and he didn’t take a single wicket.
