AB De Villiers Is All Set To Make An International Comeback

Faf Du Plessis responded on De Villiers return

South African skipper Du Plessis is very clear on getting de Villiers back into the T20I squad. He said that even before the new cricket coaching staff arrives, ABD will be included in the team. Du Plessis also said that there were some issues like when and what and where the T20 cricket matches would be held. After everything is clear, we will announce further details about ABD, said the Proteas skipper. He also confirmed that AB de Villiers will play a T20I series before T20 World Cup begins.

South Africa team for T20 series before the World cup

South Africa team is scheduled to play 11 T20I matches before the T20 World Cup 2020, which includes three against England, three against Australia and 5 against West Indies. AB De Villers will play in at least one of these series.

Mark Boucher also keen to bring back ABD

The new Head Coach for the South Africa team, former wicket-keeper batsmen Mark Boucher, who is going to take charge soon, was positive about including ABD in the T20 World Cup squad.

ABD changed his mind after announcing Retirement

AB De Villers announced his retirement from all international cricket formats on 23 May 2018. He, however, changed his mind during the 2019 ICC World Cup and wanted to play for the South African team. De Villiers is currently playing the Big Bash League matches for the Brisbane Heat team.

South Africa cricket management doesn’t want to repeat the same mistake

When AB de Villiers wanted to play in the World Cup 2019, the team management did not respond positively, leading to one of South Africa’s worst performances ever in the World Cup. They did not put up a tough fight against any team in the tournament. The team management, thus, in any case, wants to make ABD play in the T20 World Cup.

The team management was very impressed with ABD’s performances in the BBL matches.
